The Southampton midfielder finds himself in the latest team of the week for EA Sports FIFA 21 and he gets an upgraded card for his efforts.

Southampton took on Aston Villa and James Ward-Prowse decided he was going to leave his fingerprints all over the match.

He started with assisting the first goal from a set-piece with a beautiful curling ball that found the head of Jannik Vestergaard. He then decided two put in two goals himself directly from free-kicks and put the rest of the footballing world on notice.

His 2 goals and 1 assist were enough to get a team of the week upgrade in FIFA’s ultimate team. His original card was a 79 overall and now he moves up to an 82 overall. Most notably his passing is now a crazy high 88 and is one of the best free-kick takers in the game.

His card will only cost you about 10k coins in-game so he is highly affordable and is now a usable CM.

So far, Southampton have had 3 players get special cards and this is the most I can remember the Saints having this early in the season. If they continue this form you will be able to build a whole starting XI with special Southampton cards.

This Friday, with Ings out, is a chance for another player to step up and be a hero. This would be a perfect chance for the likes of Che Adams to have a brace and then he would be in line to get the fourth Saints team of the week card.
