Walcott/Adams pairing passes the test

There was a lot of talk about who would be upfront with Adams for this game and who Hasenhuttl chose.

After watching the 31-year-old’s performance, it was certainly the right call and Walcott should remain in the team whilst Danny Ings is out.

Walcott teamed up with Kyle Walker-Peters to squeeze the ball from Newcastle after seven minutes and then has the presence of mind to provide the perfect cross for Adams to finish well.

Throughout the game, he was seen dropping deep and roaming around to create – something that Ings has been seen doing recently.

If Adams continues scoring and Walcott continues to be bright, things may keep moving forward just fine.
