Romain Saiss – Midfielder

It was very tempting to go for Ruben Neves as the last option on this list, however his Moroccan team-mate Saiss has had some very good performances so far this season and is deserving of a mention of a player that could be of a problem to Southampton.

The 30-year-old is a very versatile player, so far playing this campaign as a centre-half or as a left-wing-back depending on where has been needed to play – averaging 1.3 tackles pg, 2 interceptions, 3.2 clearances and 0.3 blocks.

With Wolves captain Conor Coady considered somewhat doubtful to start the game, the midlands club could opt to start the Moroccan in his place – who in turn could prove to be a challenge for in-form Saints striker Che Adams, given his height of 190cm, making it difficult for Adams to be effective in the air.
