Strikers and Substitutes

Theo Walcott, Striker – 7

Very clever movement to help create his goal – something that helps Saints create a lot of chances these days. Did miss a great opportunity to make it 2-0 though.

Will likely move back to the left flank when Danny Ings returns but his showings up front have been great so far.

Che Adams, Striker – 6

Quiet in terms of efforts on goal but popped up with another goal assist when it mattered. Early in his development but we could see a very good all-round striker emerge eventually.

Shane Long, 1st Substitute – N/A

On in place of Djenepo for the last 10 minutes.

Ibrahima Diallo, 2nd Substitute – N/A

On with two minutes to go. Interesting that he looks another option for the role that Stuart Armstrong plays on the right flank.
