Southampton will take on Manchester United on Sunday in what should be an exciting match between two sides separated by just four points.

Southampton currently sit fifth on the table through 9 matches and have gone unbeaten in their last 7 matches. That streak will be in jeopardy on Sunday when the Saints take on a streaky United team that have not quite found their stride yet this season.

This fixture has produced some exciting matches over the past few years and Sunday is looking to be no different.

Let us take a look at how both teams could win this match.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints will have to do what they have done the past 7 matches and that is press hard and finish their chances. Not finishing their chances Monday likely cost them all three points last match so they need to ensure they take their chances when they get them.

It will be another match without Danny Ings so it is another chance for Che Adams to be the star. He created plenty of chances on Monday and the Saints will need that again tomorrow.

He is my key man for the match and if he can find the back of the net I like the Saint’s odds at taking away some points from this match.

How Manchester United Will Win

United have has an interesting start to their season and have managed to string together 3 wins in-a-row across all competitions and may be turning the corner.

United currently sit 12 on the table with 13 points and will believe they should be taking points away from this match. The key for United will be the play of their wide players. If they can create and attack the Saint’s full-backs they will be able to create chances.

Martial is also another player to watch as he seems to love a goal against Saints and will be looking to add another on Monday.
