Strikers and Substitutes

Che Adams, Striker – 9

Hold up play was absolutely brilliant, completely out-muscling Harry Maguire.  Let’s be honest, he 100% dominated Maguire.  Switched the play left to right very well, often spring Walker-Peters forward. Kept possession with literally zero options off the ball at times.  It doesn’t matter that he didn’t score, he was fantastic today.

Theo Walcott, Striker – 7

Looked a threat more than he actually was in the first half.  Missed Che on a few opportunities throughout the match, but did get some strikes early on Henderson after he entered.  When he gets to speed and runs at defenders, he really takes the weight off his team, but needs to do this more often.

Shane Long, Substitute Striker – 5

Was given more run than usual entering for Moussa Djenepo.  Pressed himself into a few fouls and won one flick-on header of note.

Ibrahima Diallo, Substitute Attacking-Midfielder – N/A

Entered late as Armstrong had run his race.  Took his position on the right side for the second match in a row.
