Number 2

Oriol Romeu – Previous Rank: 1 (-1)

It feels harsh to drop Romeu a rank but that is just how brilliant the number 1 player has been. The Spaniard leads the Prem in tackles currently and is really in the form of his life.

Fans are raving about his performances and so are the pundits finally. He has become the definition of consistent and has helped the Saints be in the position they are so far.

The centre-midfield position was a question mark coming into the season but he seems to be the answer and now Diallo will have to work that much harder to take his spot.
