Southampton dropped points against United last Sunday and now they make the short trip to Brighton looking to get the points flowing again.

Southampton have had good success over Brighton in their past few matchups and have not lost to them since 2012. This will be a good opportunity for the Saints to pick up three points and make up for some of the points dropped in the past two matches.

Good news for the Saints as Danny Ings will be available and I suspect we will see him come off the bench but if Ralph feels comfortable starting him we could see him in the starting lineup.

Let us take a look at how both teams could win.

How Brighton Will Win

Brighton despite being 16th on the table have played a lot of close matches and could easily have a few more points on the season.

They have a 1-1 draw against Liverpool and only lost 2-1 against Spurs. By no means will they let the Saints come in and walk all over them. I expect a close match and if they can limit the Saints to 1 goal it will mean they have a chance at taking some points from this match.

If Brighton can score the first goal they also have to like their chances in this match.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints are coming off a disappointing loss on Sunday and will look to bounce back against Brighton. Despite the loss the Saints still have to have loads of confidence and believe they should easily when this match.

Especially with Danny Ings coming back the club have to be feeling good. I think this match will play a lot like the Burnley match and there could only be a few goals in it.

The key will be to score first and the Saints have been good at doing that this season. I think Che will find the back of the net this week.
