Southampton beat Sheffield United on Sunday to break back into the Premier League’s top four.

Patience and wise use of possession were key to the win and moved Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side back to within two points of league leaders Spurs.

The reaction to a recent setback against Manchester United has been excellent and Saints fans – some of whom were present at St Mary’s yesterday – will be getting ever more excited about potential European nights.

Upcoming matches with Arsenal and Manchester City will provide bigger tests, but things are looking very positive indeed.
