Southampton had a golden opportunity to collect all three points against Arsenal but fell short when they could not score against the 10-man Gunners.

It was an exciting match when all was said and done but Saint fans will come away feeling a bit frustrated the club could not score against Arsenal when they had the man advantage.

To be fair, it is difficult to score in 20 or so minutes against a team that decides to just pack it in and try not to concede but it still felt like a match where Southampton should have come away with all three points.

Overall, it was a good game by most everyone on the pitch. I was a bit frustrated how few touches Ings and Che got in the final 20 mins but the team played well in general.

Three performances, for me, stood out amongst the rest, and here are the three key players.

Kyle Walker-Peters

The questions of what Southampton are going to do at the Right-back position are now a thing of the past as Walker-Peters time and time again proves he is the real deal.

I think the thing that impresses me the most is his calmness on the ball and his ability to make a guy miss and start a break. Additionally, he works tirelessly in defense and has established himself as a Premier League level player.

On Wednesday, he put in another fantastic shift and was involved constantly in the attack. He had 83 touches in the match and completed 56 passes. He has become an integral part of the squad and I think a fan favourite as well.
