Southampton need some depth at the full-back position and have identified Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams as a target.

According to a new report, that you can read here, the Saints have identified Brandon Williams as a target in January.

One of the areas the Saints lack depth is the full-back position and it has been a need for awhile. This summer we officially brought Kyle Walker-Peters in but the leaves the left side a little weak with Bertrand being the only real Premier League option at left-back.

This move will likely be a loan move for the rest of the season but it will provide some cover for the Saints down the stretch. I personally like the move as the January window the prices are usually on the higher side so this will give them time to find an option in the summer.

The season is in full swing now and the Saints have largely trotted out the same starting XI the whole season and will likely need to start a rotation of players in the lineup. Ralph needs to have more trust in the full squad and I think he will be rewarded with a deeper squad.

Next. Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on Southampton and their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl after their superb start to the 2020/21 season.. dark

I am very interested in the transfer window this January as I do not belive the Saints need to bring in a ton of players but 1 or 2 to just add some depth could go a long way this season.

Hopefully, the Saints can keep up their momentum and get a result against Manchester City tomorrow.
