Brandon Williams

According to a recent report from Telegraph, Saints are keen to bring Williams on a loan deal until the end of the season.

This is due to a shift in Manchester United’s stance – they reportedly blocked a move back in the summer but are now willing to let the England youth international take a short-term move to gain some experience.

The reason why Saints want the 20-year-old is because they need cover at both left and right-back. Williams, being a right-footed left-back, would be able to play in both positions.

Via Sky Sports, interest has been registered by Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen too and it remains to be seen where United’s bright talent will end up.
