Southampton claimed a famous win against Premier League champions Liverpool on Monday evening.

A goal from former Reds striker and current Saints talisman Danny Ings after just 1 minute 51 seconds and a monumental defesive effort after half-time proved enough to seal the three points and a win that reduced Ralph Hasenhuttl tears.

For Saints to respond to a sticky patch of form with this result and performance shows just how much spirit the squad has right now and how much they are willing to put on the line for their manager.

They move back up to sixth in the Premier League table and will not be looking back – even with a growing injury list.
