Southampton moved themselves back up to sixth in the Premier League table after securing an excellent 1-0 win over reigning top-flight champions Liverpool.

Whilst a resilient defensive display was required to see out the victory in the second-half, Danny Ings’ seventh goal of the season proved enough for the three points on offer to stay at St Mary’s.
