Josh Sims has spent the majority of the recent seasons away from Southampton and now could make a permanent move in January.
Josh Sims will not be returning to Southampton this month but where he ends up has not yet been determined. There have been a few reports that have come out recently that have him landing in different spots.
The first of these reports, from the Yorkshire Post, claims Sims would like to extend his loan deal at Doncaster Rovers as he is currently enjoying his time there.
What makes this interesting is that Sims contract is up in the summer and if they do not sell him this window he will sign somewhere else as a free agent.
The second report, from football insider 247, reports that the club has greenlit a deal for the player to permanently join QPR this January.
The potential deal will probably not be worth very much in the end but every bit matters when your club does not have the pockets like some of the bigger clubs.
Sims, has been well-liked by fans ever since his debut for the club but he could never consistently break into the side. It will be sad to see him go but he will be remembered fondly for his time at the club and helping set up that goal that beat Liverpool and sent us to Wembley.
Sims did not appear to have a future at the club so they will not need to bring in a replacement obviously but that does not mean the club won’t sign a winger and have been in talks with Leicester over Demarai Gray.
