Southampton have been linked with Leicester winger Demarai Gray this January but it is looking more likely a move will happen in the Summer.

The Leicester winger has been struggling for playtime right now and is going to likely leave the club either this January or in the Summer.

It looked like Southampton were going to make a move this January but according to a new report, it looks like they will make the move in the summer when the player’s contract is up.

Gray, is still only 24-years-old and getting him on a free transfer would be a decent move for the club especially if he starts to live up to the potential everyone thought he had when he was younger.

Southampton are not the only club interested in the winger and they will face competition from the likes of Marseille and Monaco. Hopefully, with the club’s recent success and Ralph’s ability to get the most out of a player, he will see the South Coast as a desirable destination to revive his career.

Southampton do have a number of wingers but injury issues seem to follow some of them so it would make sense to bring in reinforcements.

We are a week into the transfer window and the Saints have yet to be solidly linked with any players but that should not discourage anybody.

Hopefully, Ralph will get some funds to reinforce the squad and they will be able to keep pushing up the table and find themselves in a Europa spot when the season ends.
