Southampton: Danny Ings nominated for EA’s Team of the Year
Danny Ings is getting recognition for his incredible year for Southampton with a nomination for FIFA 21’s Team of the Year alongside the world’s best.
It is not very often Southampton gets the respect they deserve from large media companies including EA and their game FIFA. But that has changed with Danny Ings getting a nomination for the Team of the Year.
He has been nominated alongside some of the very best forwards in the game like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, and more.
Now, it is very unlikely he will be named in the final Team of the Year once the voting is all said and done but this is a nice nod to a player who has been simple phenomenally and starting to get the respect he deserves.
If he does happen to win, he would receive a special boosted card with stats that would make him one of the best strikers in the game. Southampton fans who play ultimate team can only dream!
Ings, continues to be brilliant for Southampton and looks like he is already setting himself up for a big 2021 with a goal in the match against Liverpool last week.
Contract talks still loom over everyone’s head but I feel optimistic we can hold onto our Team of the Year nominee.
You can vote for Danny Ings at this link here as well as the other 10 players who deserve to be in the team of the year.
If he manages to sneak his way in we will all have a celebration until we realize we will not be able to afford his card in ultimate team.
