Number 1

James Ward-Prowse

I mean who else could it have been. He is the heart and soul of the squad and could probably run a marathon after playing 90 minutes.

Ralph has to smile when he thinks about how JWP has developed over the years he has been in charge and it is a testament to his coaching and his football knowledge.

He has just been flat out tremendous this season and makes everyone around him better. Not only with his set-pieces but with his leadership and composure on the pitch. He truly plays for the badge and I do not think anyone could think of someone better to wear the captain’s armband.
