Southampton have loaned out winger Josh Sims again and he will finish the season with Doncaster Rovers before becoming a free agent.

Hasenhuttl made it clear that the Sims does not have much of a future at the club and so they were looking to potentially sell the player this window but he has only gone out on-loan again.

The player has enjoyed his time with Doncaster and wanted to start for at least the remainder of the season and he got his wish. This move will not really impact the Saints’ current form as he has not been in the squad for some time now but fans will miss the player.

He has always been a fan favourite but now it seems they will not get to see him wear the Red and White again.

The window is going to be shutting quickly and the Saints have yet to make a move to bring in anyone to strengthen the squad. We have seen how devastating injuries can be if they pile up and if they do not add squad depth it could happen again and Southampton will struggle for results.

I hope they can at least bring in one player, even if it is just loan for the rest of the season. If they are not able to bring a single player in that will leave a bad taste in Hasenhuttl’s and the fans mouth and it will really apply pressure on Gao to sell the team.

There are a couple days left so maybe they will surprise us with some moves.
