Swap deal involving Josh King and Shane Long

Via the Athletic this morning, Saints and Bournemouth were said to be in discussions over a swap deal involving King and Long.

King would be arriving at St Mary’s on a permanent deal, whilst Long would move to the Vitality Stadium on a loan with an obligation to buy.

According to media sources closer to Saints, this deal looks unlikely now and has been dismissed as a rumour created by agents looking for a move for their clients.

However, other reports are claiming that a deal is almost done and it remains to be seen what will happen.
