Welp, it happened again. Not much we can do about it now but for Southampton to go out there and get win on Saturday against Newcastle.

Southampton have all the motivation in the world to go out on Saturday and prove to the world that Tuesday was just a fluke. Still hampered by injuries it will be a tough task but Ralph and the players will be motivated.

Newcastle will look to take advantage of a team that just got embarrassed and rub salt into the wound. It should be a good match and both teams will go out looking to win.

Let us take a look at how each team could win this match.

How Newcastle Will Win

As mentioned earlier, Southampton still are facing a number of injury issues and Newcastle will want to take advantage of that.

They could look to hit on the counter and do what United did so well which was attacking one flank and quickly switching play exposing the backside of the defense.

Players like Allen Saint-Maximin could have a big impact in the match taking on Kayne Ramsey who I think will be playing right-back on Saturday.

I think if Newcastle are able to score the first goal on Saturday that could be a demoralizing blow to the Saints and they would then go for the kill.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints will come out of the gates flying. They are on a mission to prove to the league they aren’t the team that was on the pitch Tuesday. I think we will see them pressing Newcastle hard and creating a lot of turnovers.

They will need to take advantage of those mistakes and finish their chances. I would like to see a goal out of both Che Adams and Danny Ings against Newcastle.

The defense will need to be stout and be more brave than they were on Tuesday. If they concede they do not need to fold but become stronger and make sure they do not get another.

Ralph will have them ready and I think they will get a result.
