Strikers and Substitutes

Che Adams, Striker – 8

An immediate header from a Bertrand cross was really poor considering his space.  Setup Armstrong before 10 minutes which probably should have been an assist.  Scored a banger being in the right place at the right time, but still a good goal.  First half hold up play was very strong, moving his team up the field with sheer strength.  Should have buried the continuation of play on the Tella foul outside the box.  He tired late, but how could you blame him.  May be the final say if Southampton stay up.

Nathan Tella, Striker – 5

45 minutes in and his pace was not used.  In fact, he was only in the half for a moment, 1v1 with a defender from 20 yards out and nothing came of it.  Wriggled his way into a free kick for JWP, but otherwise did nothing to follow up his performance against Sheffield.

Nathan Redmond, Substitute Striker – 3

Joined Che Adams as the farthest forward, primarily attacking on the left side.  Gave away possession a minimum of three times in his short performance, honestly asking all fans, what has happened to this player?

Moussa Djenepo, Substitute Attacking-Midfielder – 4

Relieved Nathan Tella with over 20 minutes to play, for once in a preferred position.  Dribbled himself into and out of nothing for the duration.

Dan N’Lundulu, Substitute Striker – N/A

Came on for Stuart Armstrong in the 87th minute potentially just to protect the Scot.
