Southampton have been watching Bristol City closely and it is believed they are chiefly interesting in Dan Bentley, the keeper for the club.

One thing that has been inconsistent this season has been Southampton’s goalkeeping choice as McCarthy and Forster have been seemingly swapping duties regularly.

You can read the article here, but Bentley has been a stud in net for Bristol City and is in contention for their player of the season.

He is 27-years-of-age and looking like he could make the jump up to the Premier League and perform well there.

A new goalkeeper is probably not priority number one for the club but it could never hurt to have the number one nailed down and not a constant question who will be in net each match.

Likely, being 27 and a goalkeeper, he will not come with a hefty price tag and the club could swoop-in and pick him up for rather cheap.

This summer is looking like it will be a busy one for Southampton as they will likely sell a number of players and pick up a large number of them.

It has been a frustrating few months for the club and Ralph has voiced how important it is to have squad depth which they simply just do not have right now. The club will need to back Ralph and let him buy the players he wants and needs.

Next season is an important one for Southampton and Hasenhuttl and they really need to take the next step. They cannot continue finding themselves in relegation scraps or they will find themselves going down.
