Shane Long

How is he doing?

Long was sent to Bournemouth back in January and will be looking to play a part in their push for promotion in the latter stages of this season. So far, he has made eight appearances and scored two goals in the Championship.

Saints future?

Long has a contract with Saints until June 2022 but the fact that he is out of favour and has been sent out on-loan suggests that he may move on permanently this summer if a suitor is found.

At 34, he may well be replaced in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans by a younger player with potential.
