Southampton vs Leicester: Can Saints stop this losing skid?
Southampton will take on the foxes this coming Friday and will look to snap the 3-match losing streak they have been on these past few weeks.
One thing you can say about fixtures between these two is that they are always entertaining and usually have goals in them.
I suspect nothing less this time around so let us take a look at how both teams could win this match and take home the points
How Southampton Will Win
The Saints threw a different-looking lineup at Tottenham last week and it worked for the first half. I expect more of the same this week with younger players getting an opportunity to get Premier League minutes under their belts.
I suspect Nathan Tella and Mohamed Salisu will both start and it is exciting to see youngsters get a chance to play for 90 miniatures without fear and trying to prove themselves capable of playing at the highest level,
That could benefit Southampton this week as the rest of team may feel like they are not playing for much they could be inspired by the youngsters who inject a little energy into the side.
I think we see Nathan Tella finally break through and score a goal.
How Leicester Will Win
The Foxes are looking to further solidify their spot in the top 4 and will want to take advantage of the sliding Saints. They know how to beat the Saints and will come out with the confidence they need to win this match.
Their quick-strike ability will be an issue for Southampton who have shown they can be exposed when opponents strike on the counter or switch the field of play quickly. They will look to score early and often.
If the Foxes can put in a goal within the first 15 minutes of the match they will have to like their chances of holding onto that lead and even adding 1 to 2 more and really finishing off the Saints early.
Predicted Score
Southampton 1-1 Leicester
I think Southampton will come out to play after a lackluster performance against the Foxes in the FA Cup semi-final. I think we see goals from Nathan Tella and unfortunately one from Jamie Vardy.
