Southampton appealed the red card decision for Jannik Vestergaard and it has been overturned by the FA and he will be available against Liverpool.

It was a poor decision by the ref to send Vestergaard off in the first place and the Saints get a little bit of justice as it was overturned and he will be able to play in the upcoming match.

It was a sloppy play by the Dane but he did win the ball and it should have been obvious with a VAR review that he did not foul Jamie Vardy. Unfortunately, it was not seen like that and Southampton had to play a majority of the match with 10 men.

Ralph Hasenhuttl was not a happy camper with the decision and found very little amusement in the decision to overturn the red card. He believes that what VAR should have decided on the pitch and that they should have played the whole match with 11 men.

VAR will definitely need to be looked at in the offseason as everyone seems to have an issue with it and they need to figure it out.

Looking on the bright side of things, Vestergaard will be available for Liverpool and a number of other injured players will also be in contention to play against the reigning champions as well.

It is going to be a tough match as Liverpool are getting desperate in their hunt for a top 4 position and will need to win this match.

If they do not get a result here it could mean they miss out on Champions League football next season. If only they had a Super League to play in.
