Southampton will end the 2020-21 campaign against West Ham on Sunday and will look to end this volatile season on a high note.

It started out so well and at one point saw the club on top of the table even if it was just for a day. After the new year, things went sideways fast and the Saints were, at points, the worst team in the league.

Now they can put that chapter behind them and go into the offseason with a win and look forward to better days in the 2021-22 season.

West Ham have honestly had a fantastic season and need a win here to finish 6th which would be a tremendous accomplishment.

Let us see how both teams will win on Sunday.

How West Ham Will Win

The Hammers have more to play for here than Southampton do and will likely field a full-strength squad on Sunday. They have European football on the line and will not want to get complacent.

West Ham have dominated this fixture over the past few years and will look to continue that trend. They will likely face a heavily rotated Saints side and will take advantage of the youth that will be out there.

They just need to go out and play the type of football they have been all season and they will come away with all 3 points and be playing in Europe next season.

How Southampton Will Win

It will come down to which Southampton shows up for this match. The ones that beat Liverpool or the ones that um lost by that score again. They have been playing better over the past few weeks but they really do not have much to play for other than pride.

They are more than capable of winning this match they just need to play with the same level of high intensity they are known for, for all 90 minutes. If they can do that, they can win this match 2-0.

It will be an interesting one as we move into an important transfer window for the club.

Predicted Score

West Ham 2-1 Southampton

Believe the Saints will take an early lead only to let it slip and drop more points from a winning position.
