Odsonne Edouard

According to a report from the Sun, Saints have joined the battle to sign Edouard this summer.

However, recent links seem to be suggesting that the young Frenchman is close to signing for Leicester City in a move that would see him link up with former Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers.

Edouard has a hugely impressive record in Scotland and looks to be ready to move on after a disappointing campaign for Celtic that saw them well-beaten in the title race by Rangers.

Since joining permanently from PSG in 2018, the 23-year-old has a fantastic goalscoring record for Celtic. His season tallies since that transfer have been 22, 28 and 22 respectively, meaning he has 83 goals – and notably 37 assists – in 168 games after a previous loan spell there too.

Like Randal Kolo Muani, he is a France Under-21 international and may be wanting to prove himself at a level like the Premier League in order to move his own career forwards and push towards senior football for his country.
