3 goalkeepers linked with Southampton transfers with Gunn set for exit

Southampton’s transfer dealings look to be getting underway with Romain Perraud potentially arriving and Angus Gunn departing.

Saints fans can expect a busy time in the market for their club given that some players will surely be leaving and others will be be signed to provide the depth and quality that Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad needs.

As analysed by Saints Marching on Thursday, Saints have an interesting situation with their goalkeepers during this off-season.

Angus Gunn looks to be on his way back to Norwich having not had a good time at St Mary’s, whilst third-choice shot-stopper Harry Lewis may look for a loan move to avoid being stuck behind Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster.

It would certainly be risky to leave just two goalkeepers at the club and injuries could cause problems if that was the case, so there is evidence that a young goalkeeper may be brought in to provide enough depth with the outgoings.
