The long-time Southampton left-back has now joined Leicester City on a new two-year deal that will see him through his aged 33 season.

Ryan Bertrand has officially joined Leicester City for the upcoming season and has left Southampton after years of service. I believe he will be missed by most fans as he was not only a good player but also a person who genuinely loved the club.

We want to wish Ryan the best at his new club and thank him for all he did for Southampton.

Now, at left-back, the club was looking thin until this morning when they announced the signing of Roamin Perraud from Stade Brest.

In addition to Perraud, it looks like the club are still pursuing Brandon Williams from Manchester United to add depth and competition to the left-back position. Williams would likely just be brought in on-loan to the club but I think it would be a good bit of business regardless.

The season is quickly approaching and Southampton have to start preparing for the campaign. They will look to best their finish last season and not have the same sort of let down they had the previous season.

Next. The reasons why Southampton have signed left-back Romain Perraud. dark

It is a long season and depth is very important. I believe the club will need to bring in at least 4 more players to make the season a bit more comfortable and be able to have some rotation when the fixtures start coming more quickly.

We will continue to update you on all Southampton news and any transfer rumours that we hear.
