The Mario Lemina saga at Southampton looks to be in the home stretch as the player wants to make a move to Ligue 1 with Nice.

According to a report from sportswitness, Mario Lemina has been “seduced” with a move to OGC Nice. The two clubs are reportedly close to having a deal in place and Lemina’s time with Southampton may finally be done.

He has had a tumultuous time at Southampton and has spent the last few seasons on loan to a number of clubs. Most recently he spent the season at Fulham who were relegated from the Premier League.

Mario Lemina joined Southampton from Juventus and looked as though he would be an impact player for the club. Unfortunately, he never found consistent form and his performances would waver drastically.

He stopped getting as much playtime and his attitude soured over the remainder of his time with the club.

Hopefully, Southampton can get a few million for him from OGC Nice and get his wages off of the books so they can fund some other moves here during the rest of the transfer window.

I think the French league would be a good move for Lemina. He clearly has the talent it just usually depends if he feels like playing that day or not.

It is always frustrating watching a player like that because you know they could impact a match in ways many other players cannot but somedays would just not show up.

Hopefully, this will be one of the last times we have to discuss Mario Lemina and the two sides can go their separate ways.
