Chelsea
According to a recent report from the Mirror, Chelsea have Ings down as a potential alternative to Erling Haaland if they fail to lure the Borussia Dortmund man to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s recent talks regarding Haaland could be good news for Saints if any breakthroughs are found as this could increase the chances of Ings staying for at least another season.
The Blues certainly have more competition for strikers than Spurs but perhaps not as much as Manchester United. This means that, along with the offer of Champions League football, Chelsea looks an attractive offer.
If, as expected, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham depart from Stamford Bridge this summer, Timo Werner will be left as their only senior striker. Space would certainly be open for Ings if he was to choose South London as his next destination.
Thomas Tuchel could also see Ings as a good signing after seeing him play Ralph Hasenhuttl’s very German style of football at St Mary’s so successfully for the past two seasons.
