Aston Villa
According to the Athletic, Villa have shown an interest in signing Ings and could want to add him to summer spending spree if they can strike a deal.
However, the same report confirms that Ings is already set on a move to “the top table” – meaning that he is unlikely to move if an offer does not come from a club playing in Europe.
Villa have added Emiliano Buendia to their ranks this summer in what was a £35m move, whilst Ashley Young returned to the club on a free transfer but will be commanding a sizeable wage.
Having accumulated 55 points in the last Premier League campaign, Dean Smith’s side look set for a real push in 2021/22 and could break into the top-half and beyond.
Ings would provide a real injection of quality to their strike force alongside Ollie Watkins and Wesley, although a move to Villa Park does seem very unlikely.
