Southampton linked with three striker replacements after Danny Ings sale

Alexander Sorloth
Via the Athletic’s Dan Sheldon, Sorloth is one of multiple options in Europe being considered by Saints.
It is unknown how much his current club RB Leipzig would charge for him in this off-season but he could be available after a disappointing first season the German Bundesliga.
The Norwegian’s spells with Leipzig and Crystal Palace may be concerning for Saints given that he failed to make a big impact with both. His time at both these clubs may give the biggest indication of whether he can prove to be a good signing for another Premier League club.
The 25-year-old earned a reputation whilst at FC Midtjylland. Just one campaign in Denmark saw him plunder 15 goals and lay on nine assists in 30 games.
More recently, he found some stunning form to score 33 times for Trabzonspor in a loan spell away from Crystal Palace. This prompted RB Leipzig to make their move with nor future for him at Selhurst Park.
Perhaps he could be a good signing if Saints can find the right setup for him. Without a proven record in a renowned league though, it would still be a risk.
