Southampton announced the signing of young Chelsea striker Armando Broja on Tuesday morning and added a significant option to their strike force in the process.
The 19-year-old joins on a season-long loan and will hope to make an impression in the Premier League during his spell at St Mary’s.
Broja is expected to be followed through the door by Adam Armstrong, who is set to sign in a £15m deal from Blackburn Rovers. Both players will join Che Adams, Nathan Tella and Theo Walcott as main options for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s two striker positions.
Despite having the majority of his career still ahead of him, Broja has senior experience under his belt after a successful 2020/21 season on loan with Vitesse in the Netherlands and has been capped six times by Albania.
