Sadio Mane

Another last-minute signing but one that turned out to be one of the best deals that Saints have ever done.

His superb record at RB Salzburg in Austria saw £12m paid to take him to England and he was a natural fit for the intense Premier League.

In all, he made 75 appearances for Saints and contributed with some memorable moments along the way. Among his 25 goals were the fastest ever hat-trick scored in the Premier League, another match-winning treble against Manchester City and a dramatic brace against Liverpool.

His displays on the South Coast soon attracted interest and it was Liverpool who shelled out £37m to take him to Anfield – a fee that now looks an absolute bargain given his exploits there.
