Southampton are going into the international break coming off of an exciting draw with Newcastle that saw them pick up their second point of the season.

Saints have shown glimpses of brilliance this season and played a really good match on Saturday and really should have won the match.

Last week we covered who the best 5 players were for Saints so far this season. Let us see how those rankings have changed after the Newcastle match.

Number 5

James Ward-Prowse

Ward-Prowse was not on this list last week but it was only a matter of time until he made an appearance on here. He was our rock on Saturday and rescued the match for Saints with a clinical pen at the death.

He completed 95% of his passes and was the catalyst for the attack. He knows this season will have some major ups and downs with a young squad and he will be ready to lead them through it all.
