Sheffield United vs Southampton

The Saints will return to EFL Cup action and take on recently relegated Sheffield United who have struggled to start the new season. This will be another great opportunity to take the next step in the competition and start building momentum for a cup run and the season in general.

The first cup match was a fun one, beating Newport County 8-0. I think Southampton can dominate this fixture in similar fashion and look like a force to be reckoned with in the cup.

Although it won’t count for any points for the league a win is always good for confidence.
