Southampton head into the October international break coming off two very tough losses and still searching for their first win of the season.

They had a tough match against Wolves that should have at least seen them get a point and then a disappointing defeat to Chelsea after James Ward-Prowse was sent off.

Ralph will have a lot to think about over the next week or so and some changes may need to be made but here are the top 5 players for Ralph at the moment.

Number 5

Alex McCarthy

Chelsea could have had 5 on Saturday if it were not for some fantastic saves from McCarthy. He has been one of the better shot-stoppers across the league this season and has kept the Saints in matches.

There were some questions marks about who would be in net this season coming in but it seems as if McCarthy has solidified himself as the number 1 and I do not see him losing his spot anytime soon.
