Southampton host Leeds this weekend and will be looking to spark a run of positive results to lift themselves up the Premier League table.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side sit in 17th position and will be targeting a good number of points from their next five matches that see them take on teams around them.
Leeds will arrive on at St Mary’s having only won one of their seven top-flight games so far this campaign but their intense pressing style often sees them cause opponents a problem.
Ahead of Saturday, there has been some key team news from the Southampton camp.
Southampton will have to mix it up with Ward-Prowse/Adams unavailable
Saints will be without captain James Ward-Prowse for three games after he was sent off in the 3-1 loss at Chelsea before the international break. Ibrahima Diallo will be expected to fill the void left in the meantime.
Che Adams will not be available this weekend after he picked up a minor muscle injury whilst playing for Scotland, although his Scottish teammate Stuart Armstrong may come back into contention after a long injury lay-off in which he has been hugely missed in attacking areas.
Jack Stephens is the only other player who is unavailable and is expected to return from a knee tendon injury around Christmas time.
Southampton boss Hasenhuttl will have some interesting calls to make as he decides which players will be making his starting 11. One player who could be in line for a run in the side is Armando Broja, who scored another brilliant goal for Albania whilst on international duty in the last week.
Moi Elyounoussi also found his scoring boots again for Norway despite looking largely ineffectual for Saints, but travelling and game time will also be taken into consideration for all the players who were away during the last fortnight.
Predicted Saints line-up
Alex McCarthy; Tino Livramento, Jan Bednarek, Mohammed Salisu, Romain Perraud; Ibrahima Diallo, Oriol Romeu; Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Djenepo; Armando Broja, Adam Armstrong
