It has been revealed that the Southampton striker has a recall clause in his loan deal and could be brought back to Chelsea come this January.
Armando Broja now has 2 goals in 2 Premier League matches for Southampton and looks to be a special talent. He has caught the attention of a lot of people and that is not limited to just Saints and Saint supporters.
According to a new report from goal.com, Chelsea would be able to recall the striker this January if they want to. This could be very detrimental to Southampton if Broja continues to perform the way he has been because Southampton have had a hard time scoring goals.
Fortunately, Chelsea have Lukaku and Timo Werner and unless there is a catastrophic injury to one or the other there would be no reason for them to recall Armando Broja and give him less playtime to develop.
I do believe that Broja will be in a Southampton kit for the rest of the season but if he is not the club may have to go look in the transfer market for another striker. Adam Armstrong has not scored since his debut and that is an issue.
The club needs to start scoring goals if they want to keep winning matches and one goal from a striker just will not do it.
It will be hard to get Broja out of the starting lineup at this point and why would you? The only reason I could see him not starting again is if Chelsea end up recalling him in January.
