Che Adams

The Scottish international was his usual busy self and worked hard for the common cause. Although he will be disappointed not to have recorded a brace after missing a relatively straightforward header, it should be noted that his goal was superbly taken.

After receiving a ball from the industrious Adam Armstrong, Che Adams bought himself some space with his first touch, before hitting a sumptuous curling finish into the top right hand corner. The finish was hit with very little back lift but had enough venom and whip to give Ben Foster no chance.

Adams is an instinctively unselfish player and there are times where one feels he could be more single minded. The goal will give him confidence though and given his track record of goal scoring runs, the 25 year old striker will feel confident going into Friday’s game at home to Villa.
