Romeo Lavia (CM) – 6/10 – Like Kotchap, one of Southampton’s better players of the afternoon. Took the pressure off the Saints defenders with his ability to operate in tight spaces on more than one occasion.

James Ward-Prowse (CM) – 5.5/10 – Was not involved as much as he would have liked. The loss was hardly his fault, but he would have surely wanted to contribute more.

Stuart Armstrong (AM) – 3/10 – Hardly contributed during the 63 minutes he was on the pitch. One of the worst players for the visitors in the game. Was booked as well.

Mohamed Elyounoussi (AM) – 3/10 – Same as above. Both of Southampton’s No.10s had a game to forget at Elland Road.
