3 healthy lineup headaches Will Still needs to go through before Portsmouth

The triplet of good selection checkboxes Southampton gaffer Will Still needs to turn into the best against Portsmouth.

Like every coach, Will Still doesn't repel a quality enriched squad coming to him but so far, he has only seen elite talent wiped away from his lineup toolkit. At Southampton, he has mostly solved roster issues through an abundance of senior kit numbers but quality and quantity never weigh equal, right?

Now, Still doesn't need to forcefully buy into that notion because the current squad map is blossoming with genius footballing brains. And so much that the Englishman needs to glance past 3 lineup headaches who are healthy picks by nature, but carry a miserable side too.

3 first-team slots that can help Will Still accumulate derby compliments

The first one is the right-back riddle, and you are not alone for wondering why two Danish wingbacks are sitting there. Being two compatriot recruitments in a foreign-based team is definitely unique but so is the difficulty meter for Still in selecting one and benching one against Portsmouth.

The former has the edge of being more senior in English football and at St. Mary's but it's tough leaving Jelert's credentials in the dust. Can they get split halves on Sunday, let's see.

Secondly, Still needs to clarify fans on Flynn Downes and Caspar Jander. The former is sinking down the midfield frame for over half a campaign, and his role retaking route contains Jander.

If Downes plays unshaken from the latter's starting eleven pressure, then the Southampton faithful may brag about a good Ipswich Town decision. But if Jander comes out and stamps the midfield authority over the Pompeys, then Downes may also be on the winter offloading notebook.

Ending this list with two of August's crowd favourites, Jay Robinson and Ryan Fraser. They both collaborated to nick a draw previously, but from now the duo can rarely hit the pitch together.

A majority of the home fanbase will agree for Tom Fellows to occupy the right portion of the attack and thus, a balanced formation wisdom will call for Fraser powering the left flank. However, Still shouldn't completely keep Robinson off for the ninety minutes.
