West Bromwich Albion will be a tough opponent for Southampton to overcome on Tuesday night.

At the time of writing, they're actually one point ahead of the Saints in the ever-changing Championship standings, with seven wins next to their name from 13 second tier outings.

They will be heading into the clash at the Hawthorns with the same goal in mind as Tonda Eckert's men - picking up a win to try and sneak into top two picture, with Swansea City having to come unstuck against Portsmouth, as well, to make these dreams come true.

It should be a great game to keep tabs on from a neutral point of view, with the likes of Finn Azaz and Leo Scienza ready to cause the Baggies havoc, as the South Coast visitors attempt to secure a ninth league win of the season.

In order to clinch another three points, however, the Saints will have to nullify these Baggies threats..

Callum Styles

Callum Styles has been electric from the left-back spot so far this season for James Morrison's men.

The Hungary international has three goals from 13 Championship appearances, with his latest effort sealing a 3-1 win against West Ham United last time out.

Away from his forward-thinking approach, he has also done his defensive dirty work well this season, with a lively average of 4.8 duels won per second tier clash.

The showdown at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night could well be the battle of the attacking full-backs, with Ryan Manning loving a goal and assist, too, down the left flank for Eckert and Co.

For the Saints' sake, let's hope Manning sticks out more than the ex-Barnsley man, as an away win is secured.

Isaac Price

Sticking to the left channel for a moment, Isaac Price has been another standout performer this season for the surprise promotion candidates.

Last campaign, Price would grab an encouraging nine goals and two assists from 46 league appearances, but he would blow hot and cold regularly.

So far this season, under Morrison's wing, he has been a lot more consistent, with six goals and two assists in all competitions, from only 15 outings.

He scored during West Brom's last home win against Blackburn Rovers, too, so Southampton will likely have to silence the ex-Everton midfielder, if they want to return to the South Coast victorious.

Felix Horn Myhre

Felix Horn Myhre is slowly but surely coming into his own in the West Midlands.

Joining in the summer from Norwegian side SK Brann, after a fantastic 181 game spell with the club where he grabbed 32 goals and 39 assists, it was perhaps going to take the 27-year-old some time to acclimatise to the demands of the English game.

He has very much shown up to the party in recent games, interchanging between playing as a number ten, a midfielder, and even a centre forward, with a goal and an assist against the Hammers seeing him win the man of the match honour post-match for the Baggies.

He is hard to keep quiet, as Nuno Espirito Santo's men found out, as he aims to keep the goals and assists flowing against Eckert's visitors tomorrow evening.

Aune Heggebo

West Brom clearly love unearthing a gem from Scandinavia, as Aune Heggebo joined the club last year from Brann, as well.

Scoring a promising nine Championship goals during his debut season, he is now up to 14 strikes from 61 overall games, donning Baggies blue and white.

He hasn't been a regular starter under Morrison this campaign so far, with only six of his 12 second tier appearances to date being starts.

Heggebo's Championship numbers this season:

Yet, he has three goals to shout about, as he scored a dramatic 84th-minute winner against Wrexham last month, from just 14 minutes of action.

He could be utilised as an impact substitute against the Saints this mid-week, with the likes of Jack Stephens having to stay alert for the full 90 minutes, if Heggebo is suddenly unleashed into the action late on.

Jimmy-Jay Morgan

Much like Southampton this season, West Brom have goalscorers all over the pitch.

The Saints have 13 unique goalscorers in the Championship thus far, and Morrison has plenty of players he can rely on, too, as evidenced in Horn Myhre, Heggebo, Price and Styles all getting on the scoresheet.

Jimmy-Jay Morgan is the bright jewel on the top of the crown, though, with Morgan now up to five goals in Championship action for the season, which makes him Morrison and Co's leading marksman.

Collecting four assists alongside that blistering tally, he is a very well-rounded forward presence.

He will be doubly pumped up to score again when Southampton come to town, as he once called St. Mary's home as a up-and-coming youngster.

Morgan would move onto Chelsea before cutting his teeth as a Saints senior player, as the striker who has been dubbed as having an "insatiable desire" for goals by EFL pundit Sam Parkin, attempts to haunt his ex-club with a decisive strike on Tuesday night.
