Southampton's recent defeats point to a failed winter transfer window. Still, boss Ivan Juric is with the situation, preferring not to rue over the past.

What if I ask you about Southampton's January transfer window performance? Contrasting replies may be received here. And it makes sense given how the window progressed for the Saints.

You might agree that although the club started promisingly, they lacked some powerful signings to end it well.

While some like club legend Francis Benali spotted the Saints' transfer mistake way back, other fans noticed it gradually. But by this time, it is clear that it was another transfer window unutilized.

Just think about it, the bottommost Premier League side finished their window without a proven Top Flight signing. Particularly, when all others bettered with interesting additions.

Well, as was expected, Southampton's blunder not to improve this January haunts them now. The Saints' recent 0-3 defeat to Chelsea proved as its best example.

With no readymade first-team signings, boss Ivan Juric had to start out-of-form players amid their ongoing injury crisis. And the result? Another humiliation.

Still, the determined manager he is, boss Juric isn't in favor of lamenting over the past. Though severely disappointed, he still has hopes ahead.

Post-match, as quoted by the Daily Echo, Juric said: "I know that it's a really tough situation, that we have to change things. We weren't able or it was not an opportunity to start to change things. I accept this situation and I keep going."

Surely, these words from the Croatian boss instill much-needed confidence in Southampton's camp.

Well, it's this thing that distinguishes boss Juric from others. Despite multiple struggles, the 49-year-old is pushing his limits to fix things at St. Mary's.

Definitely, Juric's Southampton tenure has been tough, still, he can succeed here, at least according to me. With the boss giving it his all for this challenge, may things go well ahead.
