Joe Aribo's answer can sound farewell for Ralph Hassenhuttl's chosen one

Will Still might be Southampton midfielder Will Smallbone's final coach at St. Mary's with the 25-year-old's departure shaping up as a good possibility.

Greeting no fewer than five bosses at a single club makes for a pretty unique list, and bear in mind that not every one of them is charming. Will Smallbone has also done it, in the most wonderboy phases of his career but sadly, he is miles off from the chosen midfielder Ralph Hassenhuttl touted him to be.

The Austrian manager has enjoyed significant coaching pauses following his Saints exit and will certainly be keeping tabs on his then-teenagers including Smallbone. But, whenever his schedule allows for a Southampton half or two, he will be left wanting for more all-round work from the 25-year-old.

Plus, Smallbone can't use excuses of once being a loaned out Championship starter, so performances must come thick and fast or his club farewell might arrive. As per a report from the Sun, Smallbone being offloaded is loudly and clearly written on the summer transfer menu.

Aribo's answer must let Smallbone consider Millwall

To make scenarios bitter, Joe Aribo has neglected Besiktas' willingness. All Smallbone can do is either displace Aribo or any central midfielder, else, go chasing consistent roles outside the south coast.

Had he recorded some memorable moments like Ugochukwu, Saints will have been voicing his name to Burnley's chiefs. But southern London side Millwall can have a real opening for Smallbone.

Two years before, he played his final game under Millwall's now coach Alex Neil, so a second spell can be interesting with them coming inside the top ten Championship standings.

Plus, there won't be the pressure of getting promoted and any ranking above last season's will count as an individual win, no matter how it plays out ultimately. Not to mention, a surprise Premier League entry can cement Smallbone's top-flight stay for years.
