Southampton star Yukinari Sugawara was braced to reach the lucrative heights at Paris Saint-Germain but the reality is quite funny to soak in.
Through some decent cup progress, Southampton can be pitted against Premier League opposition and the same fits right for Paris Saint-Germain through European football. For that, the Saints have no guarantees on their plate but the French Champions will get theirs on the draw date, which is sprinting closer.
Never mind, Southampton fans will see another recreation of the same Premier League metric that came months ago. But reality must be accepted at all times, Saints should do and PSG fans must also.
The St. Mary's faithful are doing well on their part, but the Parisians may have misjudged the beginning of August as the start of April at one stage.
The reason is Yukinari Sugawara, as the Japanese ace had the Ligue 1 side's fanbase buttering up his skills. From honest eyes, this was an overrating but fans didn't knew how funny of a take is this until now.
Sugawara will replace rejected Saints target instead of world-class Achraf Hakimi
Less said, Sugawara is indeed shifting from Southampton and in his own words, Florian Plettenberg said: "Werder have reached full agreement with Southampton after the prior verbal agreement with the 25-year-old right-back. It's a loan with an option to buy. Medicals set to take place today, as per Deichstube."
Obviously, congratulations to Sugawara must not be left due from the Saints but it's important to note the player he is replacing. According to Transfermarkt, the former will be used in Issa Kabore's place.
Did you get it, from being called a deputy for Achraf Hakimi to compensating for a left-away player whom Southampton discarded recruiting, while moving with another candidate. Surely, this summer market tale is a good favourite for claims that got fizzled out in the same month itself.
