Southampton defender Dynel Simeu joins Albanian club KF Teuta

Southampton have made several new signings in this transfer window after returning to the Premier League. Players like Yukinari Sugawara, Flynn Downes, Aaron Ramsdale, Taylor Harwood Bellis and Ben Brereton Diaz are some of the key additions to Russell Martin's side this season. Southampton defender Dynel Simeu joins Albanian club KF Teuta

The player is 22-year-old centre back Dynel Simeu, who has featured several times in Southampton's match day squad but hasn't made his Saints debut yet. Simeu joined Southampton from Chelsea's youth academy in 2021 and has played for the Saints youth teams and even captained their U21 side as well. The young defender also joined several League Two sides such as Carlisle United, Tranmere Rovers and Morecambe on loan moves from Southampton during his stay at the St. Mary's Stadium.

Simeu's Southampton contract ended after the 2023/24 season and now he has joined Albanian team KF Teuta on a free transfer. With this move, Simeu aims to improve his development further as a central defender and wants to perform well to play in Europe's top five leagues in the upcoming seasons. Meanwhile, Southampton are also considering signing some quality players on a free transfer to improve their performance in the Premier League after the international break.
