England's finest number one Joe Hart has given his take on Liverpool's 2-1 penalty against Southampton. Disagreeing with Ivan Juric, Hart claims that the referee made the right judgement during the crucial second half moment.

It comes as strange but Southampton have played their season's best matches against Liverpool. The Saints scored in all three meetings and even led the scoresheet twice in front of the Reds.

Regardless, the bottom line remains that they couldn't manage any points to justify their performances. On similar lines, Southampton fans can also say that the club have ran out of their luck factor when arriving in winning positions.

At Anfield, Ivan Juric's disciples turned the tide in their favour but a faint penalty left them empty-handed. As disappointing was the referee's verdict, the Saints have been dealt another critiquing blow in the aftermath of that action.

Joe Hart makes contrasting penalty admission to Ivan Juric

During the Match of the Day segment, England's great Joe Hart reviewed the entire turn of events. As quoted by the Daily Echo, Hart said: "He(Nunez) just gets in front of Smallbone, I 100 per cent think it's a penalty."

Recalling the whole attacking sequence, the contact felt as an unintentional challenge at first sight. Thus, the Southampton fanbase wouldn't be much appreciative of Hart's comments which suggest otherwise.

Still, the ultimate say remains in the hands of the match officials and nothing can be done now.

Further, no Saint can conclude that a draw was on the cards had they been spared earlier. If you are wondering why, then Yukinari Sugawara's careless penalty giveaway holds the reason for the above statement.

As a precautionary measure, this matchday must serve as a bitter but important learning for Southampton. Ivan Juric's entire Saints tenure has been filled with unfocused lapses that have costed the team on multiple occasions.

Will the roster learn to master the art of maintaining their calm and composure from now onwards? Let's see.
